March Studio News

Spring has sprung (mostly)! This month, there are lots of concerts going on in schools with band and orchestra, so instead of going hard into theory and history, we’re working on perfecting those band pieces and doing fun workouts with duets and familiar pieces (some parents might recognize the Disney repertoire I’ve been pulling from), and we’re having a blast!

In the history department, we touch on a little bit of one of my favorites - Vivaldi’s Spring. It’s bright and cheerful and can immediately put anyone in a great mood, just like the slow bloom of spring! With that in mind, we’re working hard to put ease into our playing and posture and play beautifully. We may even get a few chances to play outside if the weather permits.

I’m so excited to get to do fun work with my students this month, and I’m so proud of the work their putting in, especially as the post-holiday commitments ramp up again. Many of my students participate not only in music, but also athletics and other activities on top of school, and I think it’s so cool that they make the time to practice and dedicate to playing the flute. I’ve told many of my students that are booked solid to be sure to take breaks and enjoy some rest now and again.

Thank you for your time and dedication as parents and students in this studio. Because of you, we’ve been able to continue to grow and learn new things together with ease. Music is and always will be fun in our studio. I’m so excited to continue working with all of you!

Don’t forget that if you refer a student that signs on for lessons with me, you get a full lesson for FREE! If you know someone who might benefit from one-on-one or group lessons with me, please feel free to pass on my information!
