Hi! I’m Cassie. I’m a flute teacher in San Diego, CA who focuses on giving you the tools to be an incredible flutist with a mindset to match.
Whether you’re starting band this year for the first time, auditioning for All-State band or college music programs and scholarships, or you’re an adult student learning to play the flute so you can have a great outlet in life, there’s a place in the studio for you!

Mindfulness
Mindfulness takes a key role in flute lessons with me! Not only are you going to learn to be an incredible flutist, but you’ll also learn to be more in the present with your flute practice, hold space for yourself, and gain emotional intelligence along the way.
Music Theory & History
We can get nerdy by giving context to your music with music theory and history, and even get into some improvising, composing, and other fun ways to make music enjoyable no matter where you are in the journey!

FAQ about Flute Lessons with Cassie
What qualifications do you have to teach flute lessons?
I’ve been teaching flute for more than 15 years in South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana, and California. I attended the South Carolina Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities where I majored in flute, then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. I’ve worked with dozens of students over the years, teaching in-person and online. My students have gone on to win awards, take auditions for prestigious programs such as Interlochen school, and play in honor ensembles like All-State Band and more.
Where do you teach flute?
I teach flute in San Diego, Chula Vista, Poway, Coronado, Clairemont, La Mesa, El Cajon, and La Jolla. I teach in my home flute studio in Imperial Beach, CA, but I’m happy to travel to you and I also teach flute lessons online.
What levels do you teach?
I teach beginner flute students all the way up to advanced! I help students that are prepping for collegiate music program as well as students that are just picking flute up for the first time.
